Summary, etc.	Esta obra relata la lucha librada por la prensa nacional contra el intento de establecer en el ámbito del periodismo dominicano una ley que hiciera obligatorio pertenecer a un Colegio para poder ejercer este oficio. Finalmente tras 16 años de confrontación, el Congreso de la República promulgó la ley el 24 de abril de 1991. De esa manera , el proyecto del Sindicato Nacional de Periodistas Profesionales (SNPP), quedaba sin cláusula de la obligaoriedad.
